Inkoid

A peculiar name for a website, eh? Well, I had to leave college after 3 1/2 years to assist my father with his new business. I would have graduated with a degree in anthropology but family came first, the business took off, end of story. I am now doing what I have always wanted to do, write. I am not a writer of novels or short stories as those are a pain to even consider. So, I write more to communicate than to get my name up on billboards in neon lights. I am also a veteran of Vietnam which explains why I am so old; in a manner of speaking. I am what could be termed a quipper or, if you like, a silly ass.

Inkoid, is the way my mind works. I have a tendency to make up words for my thoughts. How about: Xog Zap. Not only is that a double word but it is also my other website. Now, Xog is original to me and my mind though I have seen it used in other places. One would suppose that humans in one category, as yet unnamed, of humanity do think alike. Twins doesn’t count as that is biological and the categories I consider invalid are the ones I fit in the best. Follow me here as this is the proverbial, “About” page for this website. Did I mention that I am not senile . . . yet?

The “About” Part

This is my brand of humor after combat. Yeah, I was in war more than once way back when. Vietnam, and that war almost took my life later on, after the war was over and I got home. I used to love to party and so I did. I would do a lot of pretty stupid things to move chunks of my brain around so that one chunk didn’t know what the other was doing. You might call those acrobatics: Forget. Alcohol works great for this exercise. I don’t do alcohol any longer and haven’t for over a decade and without needing meetings. Meetings are a pain in the keester and Vietnam screwed up my lower back royally. I don’t take anything other than Tylenol or Aleve for it. No booze, as falling down while drunk is not recommended for a back such as mine. No V.A. either though I can use them if needed. Hey, I even got some medals for my duty over there. Ever heard of “Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal?” I got one of those and paid for it with my back but, hey, it’s what I look at to remember all the fun back then, once in a while.

You’ll get used to the way I write as I am, but for college Lit classes and English in grammar and high school, one who likes doing things my way. Some work, some don’t but you can’t blame a guy for trying out new things. Were it not for new things all would be old garbage is the way I look at it.

I look at life as good fortune no matter how things are going. I like to pay attention to my first breath in the morning also. You know what that means? Yeah, I lived through another night. I learned to keep it simple and loose and that is what I am going to do here. Some will be serious and some will be more or less like this.

Welcome aboard the train to zero. All Aboard!
