Fascinating?

LIfe, if one allows it, can be a fascinating period of time. If we remember that it is only a period of time, undetermined, we tend to make the most of it. It is at this point that we have to narrow down what “the most” of our lives is. In this lies the decisions we make because some decisions will affect the rest of our lives either for the positive or the negative or, in some cases, a period of time within our period of time in toto. “Moments in time,” is another way to phrase this.

Examples of a, “moment in time,” might be looking down while you’re driving and colliding with a moving object unseen due to not paying attention to what is in front of you. Or another moment in time in which you made the decision to go talk to that person you find attractive and he or she responds favorably. Who knows, is a phrase which describes these moments in time within our period of time.

In all cases our time is limited and the lack of this realization is what trips up a life entire because risks or mental lapses can easily screw up our period of time. Then again, we can’t pay wrapt attention every second. Many are the times we merely “luck out” and get away with our lapses. Other times we end up paying for not paying attention to where we are and what we’re doing. These are termed, mistakes, and mistakes are a curse we are bound to through imperfection. Were we perfect there would be no mistakes and everyone, I mean everyone, would get along and do, well, perfectly and our period of time would be unlimited.

All of this is to bring up a word, forgiveness. We are not perfect so we need to forgive but to do so requires us to be well aware of imperfection though there is not forgiveness for taking another life purposefully. Nor is there ungrudging forgiveness for taking advantage of people who have lesser faculties to understand what is happening to them. Somewhere in all of this is God. Have you considered God?
